Busy week, not much time for blogging (will explain why by this weekend). News of my little world:
I'm most of the way through the next draft of the Always Outnumbered, Never Outgunned outline. Slow going, but rewarding; it's amazing how much perspective you can have on a piece of work after only taking a month's vacation from it. I should have something I can show to other people by the end of the month.
I've more or less written off the idea of continuing the review stuff I've been doing on this blog, as I simply don't have the time anymore. It's just not possible to do the kind of justice I'd like to do to such projects on my current schedule, so I'm letting that stuff fall out the bottom. It was fun while it lasted, but I'm in a different place now, with a different mission. All of my review-style bandwidth is occupied now by Ganriki.org; no point in trying to fight it, and I'm doing much better work there than I did here. The context makes all the difference.
Also trying to get back on track with a couple of software projects that went silent for a few months. One of them is the eventual replacement for the CMS I use to drive this site and a bunch of others; I took a vacation from that to clear my head and figure out what pieces to work on next. Another, far longer term, is a possible game project, but I've only just begun dipping my toes into that pond — I don't even have a mechanic for said game yet, only a setting and some ideas.
